This tote bag is made with knit and purl stitches only. It is reversible, too!

Online workshops
Kids Knit for Christmas
An online knitting workshop specifically for kids!
Are you between 10 and 18? Do you want to knit something fun for Christmas?
If you already know how to knit (even just a little), you can make a tiny Christmas decoration. You can proudly show off your work in the family's Christmas tree or even give it as a gift to a friend or family member.
You can make a miniature Christmas stocking, wreath, bell or bauble.
All you need is two 4mm knitting needles and some DK (double knit) yarn. For some things it will be nice to have more than one colour, so make sure you have a few colours with you.
You will get all the knitting patterns for all the items, too.
PLEASE NOTE:
If you are under 16 years, you must get your parent's or guardian's approval to book this workshop. If an adult wants to be there with you, they are more than welcome. Only you need a ticket!
INFORMATION FOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS:
I have been knitting for almost 50 years and have an enhanced DBS check in place, which includes working with children. Should you wish to see this DBS certificate, please contact me on hello@voidcatdesigns.co.uk and I will send you a digital copy.
Date: 17 December 2025
Time: 16:30 - 17:30 GMT
Location: Online
Price: £12 p.p.
Age restrictions: all ages welcome.

Family Workshop: Christmas Decoration Workshop
It's almost Christmas, the schools are closed and the children are at home. The weather is probably not helping, so what do you do to keep the entire family entertained?
Why not knit some Christmas decorations?
During this 2-hour workshop you will be able to knit one or two miniature decorations. These items are great to hang in the Christmas tree, turn into a garland or they even make great gifts!
The available designs are:
- Christmas wreath (with or without bow)
- Christmas stocking (several options)
- Christmas bell (with or without bow)
- Christmas bauble (single or multi-coloured)
- Christmas jumper (several options)
The patterns for all of these designs will be made available to you, so you can create more after the workshop.
The jumper is the only one that takes more than 1 hour.
Children are obviously welcome. Even though this event is online, it is advised that children are accompanied by at least one adult. There is no minimum age for this workshop. It is up to you to decide whether your child(ren) is/are able to knit or learn to do so.
PLEASE NOTE:
You only need one ticket for your entire family, even if you ask the wider family to join!
Prerequisites for participating adults:
- reasonable knitting skills (cast on, knit, purl, cast off) required
- have DK yarn in your chosen colours and needles (4mm straight and DPN) ready
- if you want to finish the item entirely during the workshop, also bring scissors and a tapestry needle.
Any children booked on this workshop will benefit most if they already know how to knit, or at least a little bit. I am happy to provide assistance and guidance where I can, but please bear in mind there may be several children on the call who are not proficient at knitting. My time will be divided between them.
Date: 23 December 2025
Time: 14:00 - 16:00 GMT
Location: Online
Price: £20 per ticket
Age restrictions: all ages welcome.
Book using the button below (this will lead to an external website).

You may have specific needs or requests that are currently not on offer.
If this is the case, please let me know via the form provided.
Please keep in mind that I live in Swindon, Wiltshire, so my travel options are depending on where you would like me to go for an in person workshop. Also, any specific request will come at a different cost than the workshops I already offer. The cost per person will be included in my response.
I am unable to come to your home, because insurance does not cover that. We can, however, meet in a public space.
I have a recent enhanced DBS certificate.
Use the form below to request:
- an in person workhop
- private knitting lessons
- a workshop (online or in person) for a group larger than 20 people
- a workshop of a longer duration (maximum of 4 hours)
- any other option
For anything not related to the workshops, please use the contact form.
